“Hakuna Matata” means “no worries,” but as guest preacher Rev. April Blaine reminded us this Sunday, we can’t heal by running from our regrets. Like Jacob, we’re invited to face them with God, where grace meets us and a new way forward begins. This week don’t avoid what’s hard to face—bring it to God instead.Button

Join us this Sunday as we begin a “Sunday Cinema” sermon series where we will reflect on a film and faith connections. Guest Preacher Rev. April Blaine will kick-off the series by reflecting on “The Lion King,” Genesis 32, and the challenge of facing our regrets. We will also celebrate Communion and are glad to have SNC friend, Ryan Wilkins, as our guest worship leader.Button

“My storm is…” “Rest looks like…” ☔️These are the questions we pondered as Pastor Amy shared her message “Peace in the Storm,” from Mark 4:35–41 this morning. ⛈️Remember Jesus is with us in the storm. Storms are hard, but rest is not only possible, it is essential. This week, try resting as an act of trust, even if it is just a moment. May the way we rest in God’s love bring peace to whatever storm we are in. 📷 Venessa J.Button

On Sunday, we blessed Pastor Heather as she concluded her ministry with SNC and gets ready to start a new chapter at our neighbor church King Avenue UMC. Thank you for your leadership, care, and faithful service. We are grateful for all you have shared with our community and know you’ll continue to be #LoveAlive at King Avenue and beyond! 💙🫶Button
